Obituary
Peter Paul Marx of Chester ID, passed away on August 5th at the Rexburg Rehab of a health related condition, at the age of 80.
He was born on June 9, 1935 in Bozeman MT to Floyd and Ruth Marx of McAllister MT. The oldest of three siblings. He grew up on the family ranch where he began his love of tinkering with engines.
His first marriage gave him four children, Patty Thernes of Idaho Falls ID, Tom Marx of Drake ND, Connie Fleming of Chester ID, and Pete Marx JR of Idaho Falls, ID.
He married Ethel Carlson on May 5. 1961 in Idaho and they had 54 years together when she passed away in April of this year. Their grandchildren Steve Bullock, Jonathon Ashford, Amanda Campbell, KC Marx, Frank Fleming and five great grandchildren helped make his family complete.
He worked various jobs between McAllister MT and Soda Springs ID, from Bread Baker, Farm Laborer, to Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Operator.
His wife and he found their dream place and bought a piece of land in Chester ID where they settled and a when health issues caused him to stop working, he began taking care of his land and tinkering in his garage. Everyone knew they were likely to find him there. He was an avid fisherman and went as often as possible.
