Phyllis Ann Edwards, 75, of Sunnyvale, California, formerly of Saint Anthony, Idaho, passed away July 13, 2018. She was born on July 28, 1942, in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Lee Emanuel Edwards and Rose Amadel Franks. After graduating from South Fremont High School in 1960, she worked for a short time at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. She then went to work for the offices of Rigby, Thatcher, and Andrus in Rexburg, Idaho as a legal secretary until she moved to California in 1985. In California, she worked as a legal secretary and court transcriptionist until her retirement. She then worked in the Oakland California Temple every Saturday and volunteered at the Bishop's Storehouse.
Before leaving for California, Phyllis was on a bowling league, sang in the Sweet Adelines, and served in a variety of callings in the LDS church including preparing the bulletin and as choir director. In California, she served as choir director in her ward until her health no longer allowed her to sing but continued to be active in the church.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Margery Janice Edwards Enno, Jerry Lee Edwards and Sandra Irene Edwards Wood. She is survived by her brother in law, Wendel Wood of Saint Anthony, Idaho; two nieces, Valea Enno of Pleasanton, California, Lisa Enno of Saint Anthony, Idaho; two nephews, Aaron (Suzette) Enno of Rexburg, Idaho; and Kelly Wood of Saint Anthony, Idaho.
A memorial service is being held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Lawrence Station LDS Ward, Santa Clara, California. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Idaho. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
