Obituary

Ralph Van Greer, 79 of St. Anthony, was called home January 15, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Ralph was loved by everyone who know him. He was born on May 4, 1945 in Bay City, Texas, and was the 7th of 8 children. He alway had a story to tell and a joke to play.

He served in the U.S. Navy and that is how he met his beautiful wife Vicki Lee Haner. They were married for57 years and had 3 children that he never failed to let know how much he loved, and how proud he was of them.

Ralph worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years before he retired due to health issues. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
He was a loyal Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys fan and when the Astros finally won their first World Series he was the most excited fan!
He was well known for his sense of humor and his sarcasm was passed along to his children and grandchildren.

He loved being in the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He always taught us to be respectful of our surroundings in nature.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Shelly (Robert) McCausey of Teton, ID; Warren (Cathy) Greer of Belfair, WA; and Stephanie (Wendell) Archibald of Idaho Falls, ID; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with 4 on the way. He is also survived by siblings, Billy (Jackie) Greer, Garland (Sandy) Greer, Frances Creswick. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jimmy Greer and Oscar (Donna)Greer and two sisters, Debbie (Robert) Jones and Betty (Clayton) Schull.

Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
