IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ralph
Miller
October 26, 1958 – January 1, 2021
Ralph Rigby Miller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, returned home to his Heavenly Father and loved ones on January 1, 2021. He passed away at the University of Utah Hospital surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born in Rexburg, on October 26, 1958, the son of Vic and LaDell Miller. He grew up in Parker and graduated from South Fremont High School. On February 14, 1988 he married the love of his life, Regena Jensen. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Ralph and Regena made their home in Parker. As an eternal family, they had the privilege of raising two sons, Jaron and Jason Miller. Ralph has always cherished his family and treasured each memory with them.
Ralph had the biggest heart of anyone. He was the happiest when he was helping others. He'd give anybody anything he had – whether he knew them well or not. No one was a stranger to him. Ralph was a storyteller. His family, as well as his friends never tired of hearing his stories.
Ralph was a master carpenter, building his own home along with many others. Working with his brother Mike for thirty-plus years, the two brothers put up countless buildings throughout the area. Their concrete work was second to none. His greatest passion was working with his sons on the farm, trenching and snow removal businesses. He provided many opportunities for those who worked with him to learn important skills that would last a lifetime.
Ralph was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He cherished his testimony of Jesus Christ and he loved the Lord. He served in various callings and especially loved his years of service at BYU-I. Ralph was asked to serve the youth and they would look to him. He could give guidance and direction in plainness and truth. Ralph loved his time serving in the Rexburg Temple. He blessed all those who knew him and chose to focus on the good in each person. Ralph loved life and all those who were around him.
Ralph is survived by his sweetheart, Regena, of Parker; sons, Jason (Amber) Miller, Jaron (Brooke) Miller and Heath (Amber) Dunn; one brother, Mike (Julie) Miller, and two sisters, Sheree Miller and JoAnn (Brad) Simmons. Ralph has 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vic and LaDell; two brothers, Eddie and Mark, and one sister, Betty Jean.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Douglas Blank and the staff at East Idaho Regional Medical Center as well as Dr. Roger Freedman and the CVICU staff at the University of Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Parker Church. The family will receive friends Friday, January 8, 2021 from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 10:00 – 10:45a.m. both at the church.
