Ralph Dean Steiner passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 87 from pneumonia and lung disease. Ralph leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, love of family and the Lord.
Ralph was born to John Leland Steiner and Zina Wynn Steiner on January 28, 1931 in Rexburg, Idaho. He was the second of six children. He had many wonderful memories of growing up in Rexburg.
Ralph married his eternal companion, Gale Dorothy Lamberson on December 29, 1960 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Three daughters were born to this union. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing.
Ralph was a faithful and true member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Lord and always tried to follow in his footsteps. Throughout his life he served faithfully and joyfully in his church callings. Ralph served one mission as a young man, a stake mission as young father, and five missions with his eternal companion Gale. He loved serving the Lord and the people. He also loved serving in the Temple. He served in the Atlanta Temple, the Washington D.C. temple and served for many years in the Idaho Falls Temple and then the Rexburg Temple. His last date of service was Friday, October 19, 2018.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother Leland Dale (Bertina) Steiner. He is survived by his wife Gale L. Steiner, daughters Jill (Peter) Huntsman, Janet (Kevin) Kidman and Cherilyn Steiner, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers Gary W. (Darline) Steiner, Gordon W. (Norma) Steiner, George M. (Melodee) Steiner and favorite sister Carol Steiner (David) Fenton.
A viewing was held at Flamm Funeral home on Monday, October 29, 2018. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rexburg Stake Center with a viewing prior to the service from 10:00-10:45. Internment will follow at the Rexburg Cemetery.
