Randall J. Lamour, a loving husband, father, and friend passed away at his home on Friday, June 30th, 2023, at the age of 64, after a lengthy battle with Leukemia.
Born on July 11th, 1958, in Holyoke, MA, Randall was the son of Armand Lamour Sr. and Shirley (nee Bonneville) Lamour. After graduating Smith Vocational High School in 1976, Mr. Lamour enlisted in the United States Army.
He will be remembered by friends and family as a soldier, as that is what he was for most of his life, even after he retired as Sergeant First Class from 28 years of service. He enlisted as infantry (11B), and then served as Presidential Honor Guard. He went on to become a Medical Specialist (91B), graduate as an Army Ranger, and lastly became an IT specialist.
After his exemplary service, he wanted to continue to serve his fellow soldiers, as well as all service members, he got a job at the Veterans Affairs, working there for another 13 years before his health no longer made it possible. He loved to help people and believed that anything could be accomplished/learned as long as you put in the work.
He is survived by his wife, Christina (nee Hawn), siblings Armand (Nancy) Lamour Jr., Gary (Mitzi) Lamour, Debra (David) Golash, Kimberly (Russ) Dupre, and Kevin (Jennifer) Lamour, children Joseph Michael (Zilla) Lamour, Zachary (Sheila) Lamour, David Lamour, step-daughter Nicole Delong, and his 5 grandchildren. He was preceded by his eldest son, Randall Lamour Jr.
Mr. Lamour's funeral will be held on Friday, August 4th, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery – Blackfoot, 2651 Cromwell Ln., Blackfoot, ID 83221. It is open only to friends and family.
