Richard William Arnold, 67, passed away October 5, 2012 at the Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation Center in Rexburg, Idaho. He was born August 8, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Clarence Hugh Arnold and Marie Dorothy Swindt Arnold. He is survived by a daughter Jennifer Arnold and a brother Jimmy.

Richard was a graduate of Norwalk High School, then went on to the Sheriff's Academy. He was a sheriff for awhile until his partner died in the line of duty. Richard then worked for the L.A. Times for many years. He moved to Idaho about 1979. He enjoyed music in his younger days and had a horses. He liked to make and collect model cars. He was a generous person and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be missed.

A private memorial service was held on October 5th and his cremated remains were interred in the Rexburg Cemetery.
