Richard Russell Gout Sr., passed away, peacefully, early Saturday morning on February 27, 2021, at his home in Teton City, Idaho, surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 21, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dirk and Ima Russell Gout.
He was the 9th child of 11. He was raised with 8 older sisters and 2 younger brothers in Fletcher Court.

He married Nancy Jackson on August 9, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. To this union 2 boys were born.

Richard "Dick" started working for Utah Power and Light when he was 19 years old, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He transferred to work for the company in Rexburg, Idaho in January of 1969. He stayed with Utah Power and Light for 31 years, then retired at the ripe old age of 49.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time on the patio with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Nancy from Teton; his sons, Richard (Michele) Gout Jr., of Payson, Utah and Roger (Beverly) Gout of Rexburg, Idaho; brother, Fred Gout, of Denver, Colorado; sister, Tish Rodgers, of Murray, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Teton LDS chapel. The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at the Teton LDS chapel.
