Rick B Ward, 47 of Sugar City, died September 1, 2009 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 3, 1962 at Rexburg, Idaho, the son of Wayne S Ward and Sandra Lynn Borresen Ward. He Married Michelle Parry on June 23,1984 at St. Anthony, Idaho. The most important thing to Rick was his family, especially his children and Michelle.

He was an avid 'motor head'. He loved anything to do with motors; always had to modify them to go faster. He participated in snow machine races for more than thirty years and for the past few years he was the race director for Polaris Industries. He was a member of the RMSHA (Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association). He won 18 world titles and the most King of the Hill titles (67). He also won three triple crowns, three "Racer of the Year" awards and won a bronze medal at the Aspen X Games in Aspen, Colorado, being the second oldest man to every medal. He was twice recognized in the 'Top 10 Racers of the Year' as published by Snow Week Magazine. He took pride in everything he ever did.
