Robert "Bob" Boice, age 78, passed away on February 7, 2023 in the comfort of his home with his family surrounding him. Bob touched the lives of many people through his service to his Church, Madison School District, and the community. He served for over 30 years at Madison School District as a Principal, Vice Principal, Special Education Instructor, Volleyball coach, Drivers Education Instructor, Tennis coach, Track and Field coach, Cheerleading Ombudsman, and ROTC Instructor. His life of service extended to his LDS mission in Ireland and many church callings and temple assignments.
Many people know Bob from his deep love of sports as a competitor and teacher. He loved the battle of competition on the racquetball courts, golf course, pickle pall courts, triathlon courses, and running races.

Bob married his sweetheart, Roberta Ward, in the Los Angeles Temple on December 28, 1968. After their marriage, they moved to Fort Sill as he fulfilled his commitment to the United States by serving on active duty in the Army National Guard. Bob and Roberta moved to Rexburg in 1972 after he graduated from BYU to begin their lives in the community for the next 50 years.

Bob was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served actively. Bob and Roberta were called to a full-time mission in Palmyra, New York. Their service was paused for them to begin their valiant fight against pancreatic cancer.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Boice, 7 children, 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. His surviving children and their spouses are: Shawn and Kandee, Cameron, Heather and Brian, Cortney and Ashley, Whitney, Tyler and Monica, and Griffin.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday, February 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 N. 1st E., in Rexburg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rexburg East Stake Center, 387 South 4th East. There will NOT be a visitation on Saturday. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery with military honors.
