Robert LeRoy Williams 89 of St. Anthony, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Temple View Transitional Care Center in Rexburg.

Robert was born March 9, 1934 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Don Carlos and Lucille Annie Pugmire Williams.

Robert grew up in Idaho Falls becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 18 being baptized by his step father. Robert attended Idaho Falls schools but quit school in the 10th grade and started working for the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital. He enlisted in the US Navy and served for 18 months and after spending 4 months in the hospital he was discharged.

He met the love of his life, Myrtle Racham at a church dance in St. Anthony. They were married June 2, 1960 and sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1964. In November, 1979 Robert and Myrtle were called to serve in the Canada Toronto Mission.

Robert had worked in auto body repair and enjoyed working on early 1900's cars. He loved to fish, hunt and watch old westerns and liked eating fried chicken.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 half siblings, his step daughter Betty Ann and his wife Myrtle.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11:00 in the St. Anthony 4th Ward Chapel. There will be a visitation that morning from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the church and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
