Roger Alvin Rydalch passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 79, in his hometown of Rexburg, Idaho, after a long struggle with declining health. He was under the care of Homestead Assisted Living and Hospice.

Roger was born to Donald and Lucile Rydalch on April 24, 1942. He was the youngest of four children. He was raised on the family farm and lived there for 60 years. When he was 13, he spent two years in Arkansas with his parents while they served an LDS mission. While in high school he participated in FFA and played the saxophone in marching band. He got a lot of enjoyment out of riding his dirt bike on the sand dunes, dragging Main in his GTO, and snowmobiling in Island Park.

Roger married Monte Karen Ehlert on July 13, 1967, in the Cardston, Alberta Canada Temple. They were blessed with seven children. He loved farming and taught his kids to be very hard workers. He enjoyed raising cattle and going on drives to see wildlife. He was always up for a "good burger" at McDonald's or Big Jud's.

Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, his children DeLaine (Lori) Rydalch, Russell (Angela) Rydalch, Leland (Maxine) Rydalch, Lanette (Dennis) Daw, Janelle Roseborough, Alison (Garrett) Eyring, Melinda (Brent) Wilson, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Beatrice (Clifford) Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, LaVal (Lillian) Rydalch and Ilene (Lamont) Jones.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at the Millhollow 1 ^st Ward Chapel, 315 Gary Drive, Rexburg, Idaho.  A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Burial will take place in the Sugar City Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
