Ronnie Wayne Ard passed away on November 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 80. Ronnie was born on January 31, 1943, in Rexburg, Idaho.

Ronnie grew up in Rexburg and Clementsville Idaho. Ronnie's parents( Darrell and Olive Ard) owned a farm in Clementsville Idaho. Ronnie would attend school in Rexburg during the winter. Spring and Summer his family would move to Clementsville, were they would spend their time working on the farm and playing baseball.

Ronnie knew Sherri Pearson most of his life. They dated all through high school, fell in love and married on September 7, 1964. After their marriage they moved to Beaverton, Oregon. Ronnie started working framing homes and Sherrie worked at a Dental office as a dental assistant. They purchased a VW Bug and traveled the Oregon coast on the weekends.

Ronnie served in the Special Forces Airborne Green Berets and the National Guard for 20 years. His service included the Oregon, Utah, and Idaho National Guard.

In 1975, Ronnie and his Family returned to the farm in Clementsville Idaho, were they enjoyed farm life, snow machines, golf, horseback riding and family activities. The family competed in horse posse, earning several shelves full of trophies. Good times had by all.

In 1995, Ronnie and Sherri retired from farming and moved to Utah, so they could be closer to their grandchildren. In 2013, Ronnie suffered a massive stroke, but he did not let the stroke beat him. He worked hard to heal and continue life as normal as possible.

Ronnie will be greatly missed by his family, especially by his loving wife Sherri of 61 years.

He is survived by his Wife, Sherri Ard; his Daughter Jennifer (Glenn) Talley, Son Jason (Carole) Ard. Grandchildren; Chelsea Ciaraldi, Bracken Ciaraldi, Braxton (Hannah) Ard, Kyler Ard, McKinley (Kasen) Jones, Taylie Ard, Maycie Ard. Great Grandchildren; Kaysun Lewis, Emery Ard.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; Darrell and Olive Ard; sister; Darla Zollinger.

A graveside memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Cache-Clawson Cemetery, 206 - 210 West 6000 North Tetonia, Idaho. The family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2023 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Lewisville 2nd Ward, 101 E Main St. Lewisville, Idaho.
