Ronald Spencer Ashliman, age 62 died January 25, 2009 in Hong Kong, China. He was born August 30, 1946 in Rexburg to Ivan Spencer Ashliman and Dorothy Enid McCulloch Ashliman.
Ronn graduated from Madison High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the war in Vietnam serving in Vietnam and Germany. Ronn was a truck driver, businessman and equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Ashliman of the Philippines and a step-daughter Risa also of the Philippines, and a son Rion Spencer Baker. He is also survived by his mother and step-father; Dorothy and Pete Angell of St. Anthony and siblings; Enid Lee (Ronny) Kushner of Riverside, CA, Corinne Ashliman of Corona, CA, J. Scott (Sherry) Ashliman of Benson, AZ, Jill Renee (Dean) Near of Riverside, CA.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Rexburg Cemetery with Bishop Rodney Dalling officiating and military rites by the Madison County Veterans Team. Services are under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home of Rexburg and condolences may be sent to www.flammfh.com.
