Ronald Wayne Parkinson was born on November 8, 1938 to James Ezra and Elizabeth Arvilla Parkinson in Plano, Idaho and passed away on December 22, 2022. He was the 7th child of 9 children and was raised on the family farm. He attended and graduated from Sugar Salem High School. He married Barbara Woodward in 1960 and they had two daughters, Donna Marie and Jennie Lyn. They later divorced. He met Shareen Black at Ricks College and they were married on June 22, 1967 in the Idaho Falls temple and he was active in the LDS church. They moved to Heyburn where Melanie and Brenda were born. They moved to Egin and James Timothy was born. They then moved to Wilford and Martell Lane, Joseph Spencer, LeAnn, Alonna and Ronald Bryce were born. They later moved to Rexburg in 2007 and finally to Plano in 2010. He worked in multiple occupations but mostly was self employed. He employed his sons to work in the timber, he sold lots of sweet corn, was nicknamed the "Cornman" and that was a family and sometimes a neighborhood affair. He later started his own fruit distribution and employed many grandchildren in that endeavor, selling fruit throughout eastern Idaho.

Ronald loved to hunt, fish, travel and most of all take a Sunday drive. He enjoyed everything about the outdoors and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Shareen, his 10 children, 41 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way and his sister, Ellen Romrell. He joined his parents, 7 brothers and sisters and a grandchild in what was surely a joyful reunion.

Services will be held Tuesday at the Plano LDS church, 5973 N. 5000 W. with a viewing from 11am to 12pm, graveside at the Plano Cemetery, 4500 N. 6000 W. after the viewing.
