June 2, 1949 – September 27, 2023
Ronnie Craig (Chuck) Haws, 74, of Teton, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in his home surrounded by family and friends by his side.
A viewing will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 1st at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N, St. Anthony ID. The burial will follow at a later date.
Craig was born June 2, 1949 in Rexburg, Idaho and was adopted along with his twin brothers Terry and Larry Haws into the loving home of Veldon Tennes and LaDean Allen Haws.
Growing up, Craig enjoyed riding horses, swimming in the canals, and skiing at Bear Gulch with all the neighborhood kids and all the comforts and adventure that a small farm town could offer. He attended Teton Elementary and later graduated from South Fremont High School and was active in Football, Baseball and Track and Field. At this time he developed his deep love for the outdoors and especially hunting.
After high school, Craig began his career as a fertilizer salesman for Simplot, Valley-wide and Western Farm Service. Throughout his time in the agriculture community, he cultivated not only customers, but life long friendships with many in and around the area and kept them well beyond this era of his life and for the ones who know, "The Life of a Traveling Salesman" was the motto he lived to the fullest.
Craig was part of a lot of things and a few of the many was the ST. Anthony 101 race, The Sagehen 500, the Crash up derby (big thanks to the NBC Club for that) and many experience's hunting and camping. He spent a lot of his time enjoying himself with his family and friends. We all have a favorite Craig story.
Craig is survived by his high school sweetheart Christine Sorensen Haws, his daughter Lori Haws Miller (John), his two son's Sonnie Haws (Chris) and Jeffery Haws and his grandchildren Jake Miller, Andrew Haws, Sonnie Haws, and Jeffery Haws. Craig spent his last years with the people who loved and cared for him deeply, as well as the ones he called true friends.
