Obituary

Russell Tate Clark, 35, of Rexburg, died Wednesday September 20, 2017 from a short illness and life long struggle with muscular dystrophy. He was born January 31, 1982 to Rick and Ruth Clark. He was the fourth of five children.

He grew up in Rexburg where he attended Kennedy Elementary School, Madison Middle School and Madison High School where graduated in 2000.

He married Michon Mele on December 12, 2013. They had one son Bentley and two stepsons who he loved as his own.

He loved the outdoors and that is where he always wanted to be. He enjoyed hunting and was an amazing hunter even with his physical limitations. He also enjoyed camping with his wife and boys. He enjoyed riding the Razor with family and friends. He loved his family very much and spending time with them. He enjoyed watching his boys and nephews play sports and went to as many games as possible. Russ was a die hard Cowboys fan.

Russ loved Scouting and was an Eagle Scout. He had amazing Scout leaders and Friends.

He worked at the Rexburg Call Center for 12 years.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Russ was a special person and had the biggest heart. He was the life of the party. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Michon, a special son, Bentley and stepsons, Devin and Jaden Smith. He is also survived his parents, Rick and Ruth Clark and his grandmothers, Shirley Johnson and Darline Clark.

He is was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca "Becky", brothers; Christopher, Benjamin and Layel, his grandfathers, Clayne G. Klingler and Junior A. Clark, a step grandfather, Gene Johnson and his cousins; Brock Squires, Jason Edie and Andrew Edie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, at the Henry's Fork Stake Center, 1503 West 3000 North. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his siblings.
