Obituary

Ruth Ann Boden was born on June 22, 1944 to Ira and Mary Baggesgard in Watertown, South Dakota. Most of her youth was spent on the farm working and playing alongside her only brother Charles, spending days sitting under an old willow tree or spraying milk to begging cats, while she milked the cows.

As a teen, she moved with her family to Palm Springs, CA where she embraced the warm desert lifestyle and thrived living close to her beloved Uncle Ray, Aunt Ruth, and Cousins Ron and Raymond. It was with them, where she was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized.

She later met a handsome young man while working in a dental office, and found true love. She and Tony were sealed for eternity in the Los Angeles LDS temple, and eventually settled down in Camarillo, CA to raise their three children, Robb, Greg, and Kristi in a love filled home. As a young mother, Ruthie went back to school and became a dental hygienist to help provide for her family, and for a sense of fulfillment. She found so much joy through the people she worked with, being involved in the community, and attending and serving in her church.

After her husband Tony passed away, Ruthie moved to Denver, CO and later Ivins, UT where she could be close to some of those she loved. She later developed a love of water color painting and donated many beautiful pieces of her artwork to charitable organizations. She enjoyed spending summers at her cabin in Island Park, ID with family and friends, kayaking, fishing, and kicking up dirt while driving recreational vehicles.

Ruthie cared deeply for others and was always actively involved in serving those around her. She had a fun, down to earth personality, a contagious smile and loving demeanor. She loved God, she loved people, and she loved life with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed and always loved by the family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her children Robb (Amy) Boden of Roy, UT, Greg (Debbie) Boden of Goleta, CA, and Kristi (Ryan) Smith of Rexburg, ID, as well as ten grandchildren and one great grandson.
