Sally L (Dodge) Gunter, 74, of Rexburg, ID, passed away peacefully of a stroke on October 9, 2023. Sally was born on January 25, 1949 in Longview, WA. She was the 4th of 12 children.

As a teen, she met the love of her life, Jim L Gunter. They were married in 1967 and later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Sally loved children and could not wait to have her own. They had 2 that she absolutely adored and devoted her life to.

Sally worked at Idahoan Foods as a lead supervisor in Lewisville for over 30 years.

Sally was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and cherished her membership in the church.

Gardening came naturally and Sally had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She also had talented hands for crochet, knitting and sewing. Many friends and family members have been gifted these treasures.

More than anything, Sally loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Sally is survived by her husband Jim L Gunter, her children: Stephen Gunter, Sherri (Ryan) Elder, sisters: Wanda (Ray) Wach, Priscilla (Ryan) Smith, Nancy (Hilario) Diaz, Heidi (Tom) Sheridan, Margaret Dodge, brothers: Elmer Rusty Dodge Jr., Keith (Robyn) Dodge, Jonathan (Sheryl) Dodge, Nathan (Valerie) Dodge, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings.

A viewing will be held on October 12, 2023, 5:30 to 7pm at Flamm Funeral Home located at 61 North 1st East Rexburg, ID 83440. The funeral will take place on October 13, 2023, at 11:00am in the West Burton Chapel, 3958 W 2000 S, Rexburg ID Interment will be at Burton  Cemetery, located at 2727 W 2600 S, Rexburg, ID. A luncheon will follow internment.
