Sandra "Sandi" Helene Mae Smith McIntier, 73 of Rexburg, died at Madison Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 13, 2025

She was born January 31, 1952 in Birmingham England to Julia Denney and Roy Smith.  The first three years of her life were spent in an orphanage due to sever health challenge the her parents suffered.  She was raised by a grandfather for nine years until his death.  At this point she was reunited with her parents.

She left England for Canada then Maine and eventually ended up in Salt Lake City, Utah.  This is where she met and married Dale McIntier.  They then moved to Idaho.

She enjoyed doing genealogical work, knitting and making jewelry.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served several genealogical missions.

She and Dale moved to Scotland and lived there for 7 1/2 years.

She is survived by her husband Dale and three children.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, August 20th at the Hibbard LDS Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.  Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
