Our sweet Sandra (Sandy) LaNell Nyberg, 48, passed away Sunday, September 6th, 2020 at her home in Idaho Falls surrounded by her loved ones.

Sandy was born June 26th, 1972 in Montgomery County, Arkansas to Della Belle (Daves) and Jackie Berneal Romine. In her childhood, Sandy enjoyed softball, art, and playing in the sandbox.

Sandy attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. Sandy excelled at her career, later becoming certified in oncology nursing, where she tended to patients while enduring treatment herself. She was adored by her coworkers and her patients.

Sandy had four children and two angel babies with her first husband, Charlie. In 2011, Sandy married her eternal sweetheart, Michael Nyberg. They were sealed for time and eternity in July of 2019. From this union she gained two more sons, whom she loved as her own. She was a devoted and fiercely loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In her last two years, she treasured the opportunity to be a "full-time grandma" to her eight grandbabies.

Sandy was a faithful Latter-Day Saint, always telling her family and friends that she knew the Lord was carrying her "like footprints in the sand". Her strength and love will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Michael, her children Ashley (Mackinley) McGarry, Shawn (Marisa) Brown, Whitney (Tyler) Davis, Cameron (Cody) Davis, Blaine Nyberg, and Porter Nyberg, as well as her eight grandbabies Bailee, Abby, Olivia, Kelly, Peter, Chloe, Mary Ann, and Hugo. She is also survived by her siblings Ronnie Romine, Christie Speak, Donnie Romine, and Tracy Romine, as well as her mother in law Jean Nyberg.

She is preceded in death by her parents Della and Jackie Romine, her son Charley, and countless patients she cared for in her career, all of whom undoubtedly welcomed her at the veil of heaven.

Funeral services to be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
