Obituary

Sara Ann Stewart Weber, age 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 7, 2011 at the home of her daughter in South Jordan Utah. She was born June 26, 1917 in Teton, Idaho to Sarah Ann Godfrey and Joseph William Stewart.

She attended school in both Teton and Rexburg, graduating from Madison High School in 1935.
She married John Rice Weber in the Logan Temple on January 19, 1938. They spent their entire life in Rexburg except for three years when they lived in New Mexico during the war years. They were the parents of seven children.

She helped her husband run Weber's Appliance and Furniture. She retired from Art Porter Printing in 1983. She belonged to The Soroptimist Club, The Civic Club and The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. After her retirement, she volunteered as a pink lady in the gift shop at Madison Memorial Hospital.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She held numerous callings in her life and was never without a calling even up until her death. The gospel and her family were the most important things in her life. She believed in the will to get things done, and never give up. She was an avid reader and encouraged education with her children and grandchildren. She loved to attend the temple and she went as often as she could. She felt bad that the Rexburg Temple wasn't completed before she moved to Salt Lake to live in an apartment in her daughter's home. Her family was able to take her to the Rexburg Temple when it was completed In Rexburg she lived in the Fifth Ward, the Sixth Ward for 30 years and she was a member of the Fourth Ward when she left Rexburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Weber, sisters Myrtle Richman, Edna Anderson, and Lydia Hook, brother, Wesley Stewart, niece Ruby Siepert, and granddaughter Tamera Hill.

She is survived by her sons John (Deauna), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Clyde (Ursula), Boise, Idaho and Lloyd (Peggy) Ithaca New York; her daughters Janet Hill (Robert), South Jordan, Utah; Barbara Harlan (Lee), South Jordan, Utah; Caralyne Comeau (Roland) Delta, Utah and Julie Rock (Brad) Sandy, Utah. She has 39 grandchildren, and 94 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14 at 12:00 in the Flamm Funeral Home. The viewing will be at 11:00 prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
