Scott E Hill, 69, died November 4, 2018, of natural causes at his home in Rexburg.
He was born January 25, 1949, in St. Anthony, Idaho to DaleA. And Betty Jean Owens Hill. He graduated from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony in 1967.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had great faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. He knew that Heaven was real.
He was married to Michelle LeCheminant. They had two daughters, Suzette and Shanelle. They were later divorced.
He then married Frances Thorpe. They had one daughter, Teri LeAnna. They were later divorced.
He then married Nancye Dooley and adopted her two children, Clayton and Chelsea. They also had one child, Christopher. Their marriage was solemnized in the Washington D.C. L.D.S. Temple. They were later divorced.
As a young child, he lived in Salmon before the family moved back to St. Anthony. He lived in California, Utah and Arizona before returning home to Idaho.
He enjoyed dancing, the outdoors, rodeos and cars. Scott loved to build swings and benches, and working with wood. He and his brother Jeff owned and operated Valley Center Fence Co. In Escondido, California. He was a licensed contractor in California and a licensed realtor in Utah.
He earned an associate's degree in computer science and information systems from Utah Valley State College. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He also was certified as a computer system manager.
He suffered health issues in his later years and was mostly homebound.
Scott loved his children and grandchildren and talking to his mother.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Hill , of Nampa, Idaho; his children, Suzette (Tom) Hodgson of Utah; Shanelle (Estuardo) Perez of Utah; Teri LeAnna (William) Tapia of Arizona; Clayton Hill of CA; Chelsea (David) Gardner of Utah; and Christopher (Angela) Hill of Utah; siblings, Bruce (Gracie) Hill of St. Anthonhy; Shauna (Brad) Ringel of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Richard (Julie Ann) Hill of Idaho Falls; Jeff (Julienne) Hill of Nampa; Marianne (Steve) Bowman of Eagle; Lisa (Rick) Turner of St. Anthony; Brett (Matthew Noakes) Hill of Boise; and Chris (Rebecca) Hill of St. Anthony: and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Dale, former wife Nancye and brother-in-law Brad.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 East 1 st North, St. Anthony. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
