Obituary

Scott Lee Stimpson, 64, of St. Anthony, passed away on March 27, 2015 in Ashton, Idaho after a long struggle with strokes and kidney failure.


He was born on October 18, 1950 to Glenn and Clara Stimpson and was raised in St. Anthony, Idaho. Scott graduated from South Fremont High School and went on to college at the University of Idaho and Idaho State University.


He was a member of the United States Air Force. He taught school for 34 years. He enjoyed reading, his grandkids, and his farm.


He is survived by his wife, LaRue Lusk Stimpson, his children: Scarlett Fluckiger (Joseph Fluckiger) of Spokane, WA, Scott Lee Stimpson, Jr. (Danielle) of Rosemount, MN, Rick Stimpson (Sofi) of Bosie, ID, Glenn Stimpson (Courtney) of Nampa, ID, Kathryn Turner, (Dillon) of St. Anthony, ID, Jonathan Stimpson of St. Anthony, ID, Sarah Stimpson of St. Anthony, ID, Susan Stimpson of St. Anthony, ID, and Rachael Stimpson of St. Anthony, ID. Scott is survived by ten grandchildren, his sister, Glenda Weaver (Gordan) of Beaver Dam, AZ and his brother, J.C. Stimpson (Janice) of St. Anthony, ID. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Clara Stimpson, his sister Clairedene McMinn, and his daughter Stephenny Stimpson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony) and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
