IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott
Telford
July 10, 1962 – January 21, 2025
Scott Telford returned to a loving Heavenly Father and loving parents on January 21, 2025. He was a beloved husband to Neva, a loving father of 4 children and 5 stepchildren, and known as Grandpa Scott to 19 grandchildren. He cherished his time with those he loved and who loved him. He was possibly the most optimistic man you might have ever met. Serving others was his lifelong calling. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, even when his body struggled to support his efforts. He was a friend to all, and many homeless strangers received a pat on the back and a bag of necessities or a couple of bucks. He matched the Savior in his charity of wanting to see the good in everyone.
He cherished the time spent in South Africa as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His missionary experiences were often shared during Testimony Meeting and in talks he gave in Church and stories told to his grandchildren.
His favorite pastime was playing golf. This sport was most enjoyed with family or friends. Scott had a knack for showing off his skills and you'd often hear his victory cry ""Yeeaaahhh Babbbyyy!" as his ball flew beyond his opponents and effortlessly rolled into the last hole.
Scott had a sweet tooth and loved all things made from sugar. You rarely saw him without his Dr. Pepper and little bits of candy wrappers on his night stand. He loved his cats Evy and Lynx. Lynx often walked with Scott whenever he took a stroll down the farm lane.
Many remember him and his passion for sports cars and love of the acceleration, all stemming from his highschool obsession with the Firebird he once owned. However, the car of his dreams will always be a Prosche 911, we can always hope for him that these vehicles are approved within the Kingdom of God.
At the young age of 62, he leaves behind him a trail of many loving family members. His wife of 14 years Neva, daughter Reagan (Mike) Powell, son Logan (Mackenzie), son Gavin (Ian), son Hayden (Allison), step son Devin (Tanya) Baker, step daughter Christa (Zach) Cottle, step son Jeremiah (Megan) Baker, step son Woody (Laura) Baker and step son Mack Baker. His sisters Jani Alford, Wendy Clark, and Tami Clayson, and many nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles and his first wife Rissa Koenig.
He was reunited with his loving parents, Bob and Jan Telford, his grandparents, Neva's parents, Rissa's parents and all those he served here who had passed on.
Celebration of Scotts life will begin with a viewing at Flamm Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. His funeral will be held on January 31 at the Stonebridge Chapel located at 475 East 7th North. Family will greet friends from 10:00am till 10:45am with the funeral beginning at 11:00am.
