Septimus Adolphus Beatong "Papa Roy", 78, of Rexburg died Tuesday, July 11, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1934 in Clarendon Jamaica to George Douglas and Agatha Williams.
He worked as welder making bicycle. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle. He played soccer and was the captain of his dominos club, in Jamaica, Fats D, as well as his club in New York, Social Machine. He love food and he enjoyed reading. He loved to spend quality time with his children and grandchildren.
He became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2006. He was an active member, attending the temple regularly and fulfilling his church assignments.
He is survived by his 3 brothers - James, John, Leonard, 9 sisters - Lena, Thelma, Sadie, Maggie, Tiny, Lena, Vie, Daphne and Carol, 6 daughters - Sandra, Diana, Elissa, Sephlin, Andrea, and Sherese. Grand children: Marlon, Soyini, Richardo, Sashana, Natalia, Akeelya, Luigi,
Shaquilla, Nikolai, Shaquinna, Dimond, Charity, Noa, Mica, Marlondo and Elaina Great Grand Children: Jahasia, Schevion, RJ, Jahkeyshia, and Kingston as well as his Son-in-laws, and many wonderful friends and family.
He is preceded is death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 18th at the Rexburg LDS East Stake Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
