Obituary

Seth DeRoy Grover passed from his earthly probation on June 12, 2015 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho. He was surrounded by his wife and children.

DeRoy was born to Seth Bennett Grover, Jr. and Margaret Emma Wright Grover on November 2, 1939 in Rexburg, Idaho. He joined his older brother Hugh Grover. Later his little sister, Margaret, joined them.

DeRoy married his life long best friend, Carma Jean Corbett, on January 18, 1958, they were later sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They began their time together living in Idaho Falls.

DeRoy and Carma had 5 children who they raised to love their Heavenly Father and joined each of their children as they too were sealed in various temples. He was so proud of his children and their commitment to the gospel. About his family, he said, "I have always loved my family more than anything, they are my reason for being on earth."

DeRoy taught each of his children to love and appreciate adventure and the outdoors. His favorite times were spent mountain climbing, camping, horseback riding, hiking, hunting, and traveling with his wife and family. He made special efforts to spend one on one time with each of his children hiking, hunting or climbing to give him the opportunity to develop personal relationships with them. One of his last adventures was visiting Alaska with his wife and middle daughter's family. DeRoy and Carma always made special efforts to attend any special event that their children and grandchildren participated in. Many miles were logged on their car in quick weekend trips.

DeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and older brother. He leaves behind his wife, Carma; children, Kevin (Laurie) Grover of Clarkston, WA; Cathy (Kelly) Glissmeyer ofRigby, ID; Ken (Gerri) Grover of Caldwell, ID; Caryn (Kerry) Staker of Pinedale, WY; and Cindy (Jeff) Snell of Pullman, WA; 15 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
