Shirley Mae Jensen Henderson, 78, of Burton, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Carriage Cove in Rexburg. She was born May 5, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, to Joseph and Jenny Hammer Jensen.

Her family moved from Utah to Ashton and then to Rexburg where she graduated from Madison High School in 1958.

She met Stuart Henderson on a blind date. They married on May 12, 1961 in Rexburg. To this union two children were born, Mike and Shaunna.

She enjoyed gardening, oil painting landscapes and camping. She also join Stuart as he participated in the Upper Valley Wrangler Posse and the Upper Valley Cutter Association.

She is survived by her son, Mike Henderson of Rexburg, son-in-law, Kelly Richardson, 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stuart, a daughter, Shaunna, a great granddaughter, 2 brothers and a 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5th at the Burton West Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
