One of her quilts was honored by being displayed in the Library of Congress—She also found great joy in making numerous crafts and beautiful bouquets, creating not only lovely things, but lasting memories for those she loved.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She and her beloved husband, Gene, served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Throughout her life, she also faithfully served in numerous callings within her church, including the President of the stake relief Society, offering her time, compassion, and unwavering devotion to others.
