Spencer Bryan Berger was born in Payson, Utah and moved to Rexburg with his family when he was one month old. He attended Rexburg schools and graduated from Madison High School in 2003 after which he attended BYU-Idaho.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and honorably served a mission to Johannesburg, South Africa. Spencer was a "real" outdoorsman with a love for hiking, climbing, camping, fishing and hunting. He was a brilliant outdoor photographer having published many award winning pictures in local newspapers and magazines. Spencer was a champion marksman and won the Idaho Junior High Powered Rifle championship three years in a row. Spencer was blessed with a bright mind and was a voracious reader and skilled writer with many locally published political editorials. His keen mind led him to invent and patent a new target design which was sold nationally with success.
Spencer was married to Anne Davidson on July 11th, 2009 and was later divorced. He was blessed with a beautiful daughter Bethany who is the light of his life. Never has a parent loved a child more than Spencer loved Bethany and he showed it through numberless outings, activities and expressions of love. Spencer loved all his family and had special relationships with his Uncles, Aunts and cousins. He was loved in return by all family and friends. His countenance of joy and infectious smile will be remembered by all.
He is survived by his daughter, Bethany Berger, his father, Shane Berger of Rexburg, Idaho, his mother Leslie Breckenridge of St. George, Utah, his siblings, Jennifer (John) Nelson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael (Jessica) Berger of Rexburg, Idaho, and Jessica (Delta) Mathie of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is also survived by his grandparents, Bryan & Janie Breckenridge of Santee, California and Dennis & Donna Jefcoat of Chiloquin, Oregon.
