Obituary

Stanley "Buck" Simons, 78, of Rexburg, Idaho passed away November 10, 2012 in St. George, Utah. He was born January 26, 1934 in Newburg, Oregon to Francis Katherine Smith and Oscar Carl Simons.

He attended school in Gold Beach, Oregon where he played on the high school basketball team.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1957 and was stationed in Japan.

He married DarLeen Hutchings on July 10, 1959. They have been married for 53 years. They are the parents of two loving daughters, Debbie and Stancy .

He spent his early years as a logger in Oregon and Montana. He later built and managed Cable TV in Montana and Idaho, retiring after 26 years.

He was an avid outdoors man and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He loved life, friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, DarLeen; daughters, Debbie (Rod) Matkin and Stancy (Marty) Blaser; a sister, Katherine (Ray) G. Logan; a brother, Dennis G. Simons; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Ina Simons. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Beverly Simons.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 15 at the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the Madison County Veterans and Idaho Honor Guard.
