Steven Vega-Sanchez, 16, of Rexburg, passed away of a natural causes on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Steven was born on September 28, 1995, at Madison Memorial Hospital, in Rexburg, Idaho, he was the youngest of 4 to Selestino Vega and Imelda Sanchez de Vega. He attended Madison High School.

Steven loved taking care of all of his nephews. Out of all his siblings he was the smartest. He was getting ready to start taking his CNA classes. He wanted to help people with disabilities, and understand more about human anatomy due to his heart condition.

Steven has returned home to our Heavenly Father to help him take care of his family, especially his nephews. He was full of life, happiness, and he will forever be remembered as a loving Uncle, Son, and Brother. He enjoyed basketball, football, and fishing. Another favorite pastime of his was being on the computer at the library.

He is survived by his parents Selestino Vega and Imelda Sanchez de Vega of Rexburg; sister, Imelda (Christian Juarez) Vega-Sanchez of Idaho Falls, brother, Tony (Adriana Marine) Vega of Rexburg, sister, Cindy Vega of Rexburg. Nephews; Khiano O Vega-Sanchez, Julian Vega, Isaiah Vega, and Kobe S. Juarez-Vega. Grandparent; Able Vega.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Josefina Rodriguez, Grandma. Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, Grandma. Daniel Sanchez, Grandpa.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rexburg. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and then Mass will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends Thursday morning from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the funeral home before going to St. Patrick's Church for the funeral mass. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
