Charles Stuart Archibald III was born on March 16, 1934 in Meiners Oaks, California to Charles Stuart Archibald Jr. and Geneva Leona Davis Archibald. His death was on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Rexburg, Idaho. He was born, raised, and lived mostly in Ventura County, California. Stuart was an aerospace engineer at the Point Mugu naval base for forty-two years after graduating from U.C.L.A. Stuart civilly married Melody Mildred Lorraine Scott on December 28, 1974, and they were sealed in the Los Angeles LDS temple on December 29, 2005.
Stuart is survived by his wife Melody, his brother Roy Archibald and his sister-in-law Susie, several nieces and nephews, and his daughter Jaclyn Lorraine Penn and her husband Anthony. He was also very close to his cousin Bobbi; in his words they "were more like a brother and sister". He was an avid dog lover, and sports cars, reading, rockets, photography and puzzle books were his favorite pastimes. Stuart was active in Lions Club for twenty-five years, and with his wife acted as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for their communities for twenty years. He was an excellent husband, father, and friend, and will be missed dearly.
