IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Dianne
Emmons
March 3, 1961 – July 2, 2024
Susan Dianne Emmons came into this world on March 3, 1961, at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, and died peacefully on July 2, 2024, at Temple View Transitional Care Center in Rexburg, Idaho.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who made many people laugh over her lifetime with her dry wit. As a young Air Force dependent, she embraced different cultures and climates (Montana versus the Philippines!) and maintained her interest through books and other media as an adult. Although misdiagnosed with a tumor at age 17, the treatment for which slowed her down and left her differently abled, she lived her life with fortitude and grace.
She graduated from Ricks College in 1985 and returned to live in Rexburg in 1986 for the next 38 years having decided that she loved Idaho much more than Arizona. She worked for Upper Valley Industries and as a library assistant for many years at Madison Middle School (her favorite position). Susan was a passionate reader and a talented crocheter of winter scarves, the price of which was a chocolate shake. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, Glen and Alice Emmons, survived by brother Jim Emmons, sister Kate (Bruce Biser) of North Carolina, sister Luanne, (Eric), nieces Elizabeth (Ray) Miller, Piper Zike, Sarah Biser and nephew Mark Biser.
Susan will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Graveside service will be held at Rexburg Cemetery on Monday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m.
