Tayson Micheal Halvorsen, 13, Of Rexburg Idaho passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. Tayson was born October 30th, 2010 in Butte Montana to Eric Halvorsen and Bryann Halvorsen.

Tayson attended Madison Junior High School in Rexburg.  Anyone who knew Tayson loved him. He had the biggest heart and would light up a room with those beautiful blue eyes.  He had a larger-than-life smile that was incredibly charming but could also be slightly mischievous. He was quick to crack a joke with anyone in the room. Tayson was an avid outdoorsman. He loved steelhead fishing, hunting, hiking, and hanging out with his friends. He recently developed a strong passion for rock climbing at the local Rock Gym and was so very excited to be moved to the advanced climbing class. Tayson worked very hard in school and was proud of his accomplishments.

One of his extraordinary gifts was probably the relationships he held with the people he loved most! He loved his family with all his heart and always made sure they were taken care of.  Tayson brought love to those that he knew.  His hugs were healing, and he always knew when someone needed one.

Tayson is survived by his parents, Eric and Bryann Halvorsen; sisters, Kalista (Jacob) Christensen and Kambrie Smith; brothers, Keaton Topp and Tanyon Halvorsen; and his sweet niece Ember Christensen;  Grandparents, Mike and Debby Topp  and Ala Krzan; Aunts and Uncles, Levi and Mary Halvorsen (Toston, Chloe, Logann), Kristin and Aaron Pease ( Kaden, Dallen, Ethan, Madison, Brighton), Brooks and Chanelle Topp (Brooklyn, Millie); Great Grandparents,  John and Vivian Topp, Susie Fonk, Jean Halvorsen, Joseph and Margarete Hofer.   And numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tayson was preceded in death by his grandpa William Halvorsen, great-grandpa Edgard Halvorsen, great-grandparents Jack and LaRita Lunt, and cousin Annalyn Halvorsen.

Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 Park Street, Rexburg, Idaho 83440. Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. till 10:45 a.m. prior to service at the church. Cremation will take place after the service and burial of remains will take place at a later date.
