Obituary

Ted K Hinckley, 78, of Rexburg, ID passed away on February 11, 2012 from complications of cancer. He was born March 12, 1933 in Rexburg to Ira Nathaniel and Emma Luella Keppner Hinckley. He was raised in Burton and graduated from Madison High School.

He served in the Air Force during the end of the Korean Conflict. He was always telling stories about the men he served with. He was stationed in Cheyenne, WY, Japan, Orlando, FL and South Carolina. Ted went to Glen E. Clark Business school in Idaho Falls. He retired from Utah Power & Light with 30 yrs of service.

Ted was an active member of the LDS Church and had many callings. His favorite was Home Teaching and he served faithfully and loved his families. He loved the Lyman area and always said he wouldn't want to live anywhere else. He felt he had the best neighbors in the world.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Alice Chambers. They had four children; Julie Hinckley of Rexburg, Michael C. (Karla) Hinckley of St. George, UT, Lisa (LaWayne) Danielson of Rexburg, and Patricia (Larry) Layton of Rexburg. They had 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild with one on the way.

He was a loving husband and father. Ted was a man you could count on. Ted was the youngest of 13 children and is survived by two sisters, Dot Underwood and Velma Gilchrist, both now living in Rexburg also.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, at the Lyman LDS Chapel, 1952 West 6200 South. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
