Theda Fern Neville
Theda Fern Neville, 86, of Rexburg died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg. She was born January 18, 1925 in Rexburg to Charles and Fern Spaulding Cook. She was raised and attended school in Rexburg. She graduated from Madison High School in 1943.
She married Darrell Neville on June 2, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived and raised their family in Rexburg.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership and teaching positions. She and Darrell served a mission in 1992 in the Cleveland Ohio Mission.
The main focus of her life was her family and friends, and working on the family farm. She also worked in the assessors office and at the Rexburg Medical Center.
She didn't tell us how to live, she lived and let us watch.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell; her children, Stan (Barbara) Neville of Hamer, Connie (Curt) Bourne and Scott (Pam) Neville all of Rexburg, Lori (Blake) Thomas of Rigby, Lesa (Mike) Bott of Tetonia, Keri (Mike) Reeder of Payson, Utah; siblings, Charlie (Judy) Cook and Barry (Ana) Sorensen all of Tetonia, Gayle Sorensen of Lewisville, Idaho; 30 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Ray Sorensen, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, at the Hibbard LDS Chapel, with Bishop Kent Lundin officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
