IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Leeroy
Tunnell
April 3, 1952 – February 6, 2021
Thomas "Tom" Tunnell passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 68, in Rexburg, Idaho. His gone too soon and will be sorely missed.
As a child, Tom always found a way to get into trouble. There was a time he was helping to paint a church, he found the bucket of white paint and decided it would look better on him rather than the church. As he attempted to escape the grasp of his mother and father, he managed to get the paint all over the church stairs and floors. Dennis the Menace would be proud of this young 6 year old.
Tom served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Midwest serving in Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. He married the love of his life, Linda, and had 5 very wonderful children. Tom was a good father and husband as he taught of Jesus Christ in the home. He led by example as a young man and helped those with whom he came in contact, with a selfless heart.
Tom enjoyed adventures. He has traveled around the world seeing many beautiful things. He loved to ho camping and the outdoors. He truly enjoyed doing home improvements and never missed and opportunity to fix something that did not need to be fixed. He wasn't perfect, but he was perfectly Tom!
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda Tunnell; his children, Heather (Aaron) Richards, of Nebraska, Christopher (Amanda) Tunnell, of Idaho, Benjamin (Kristi) Tunnell, of Washington, Ammon (Yocelin) Tunnell, of California and Mexico, Tyler Tunnell, of Idaho; 8 grandchildren with 3 on the way; sister, Dorothy Henderson ; brothers, Jim (Luana) Henderson and Terry Tunnell.
Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Eckersely; his father, Joseph Tunnell; a sister, Marjorie Henderson.
