Obituary

Tom Lovell (Ancil Thomas Jr.) Passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Born on October 19, 1949, in Tuba City, Arizona, he was the son of Ancil and Georgia Jane(Holiday) Thomas.

At a young age, Tom was lovingly placed in the care of Lem and June Lovell, who would raise him as their own in Delta, Utah, where he became affectionately known as "Tommy." He was later adopted by Lem and June, officially solidifying his place in their family. He graduated from Delta High School in 1968 and briefly attended Dixie College before beginning his life's journey.

Tom married and had two children, Tony and Bobbie. Following a divorce, Tom's life took a beautiful turn when he met the love of his life, Denice (Dillman),on a blind date. They were married on May 29, 1981, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and together they raised seven children: Jonathan, Jenny, Rachel, Jeremy, Caddie, Sarah and Cheyenne.

Tom's passion for golf led him to Rexburg, Idaho, where he pursued his dreams in the sport he loved. There, he became a driving force behind numerous fund-raising golf tournaments, forming lifelong friendships and building a legacy of generosity and community spirit. Tom was known for his big heart, always ready to help those in need. Whether in business or in life, Tom was always ready to lend a hand and offer support.

His passion for people and his ability to connect with others made him successful in all his endeavors. Tom loved to travel, which made it natural for him to excel as a traveling salesman, forging connections wherever he went.
