Anthony "Tony" Jacob Ahlrichs, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, in Rexburg, Idaho, at the age of 85. Born on March 25, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Tony lived a life filled with service, love, and dedication to his family
and community.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Judith Carol Ahlrichs; their children, Judith (Steve), Tony, Tom (Christy), and Jon; five grandchildren, Cameron, Cassidy, Karissa, Kohl, and Rosie; and ve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin sister, Antoinette (Ann)
Rogers, with whom he shared a special bond. He is proceeded in death by his brother John Ahlrichs.

A proud veteran, Tony served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rogers, navigating the Aleutian Islands and participating in the Taiwan Strait Crises. His service to his country was a source of great pride throughout his life.

A hardworking man, Tony studied at the Technical Engineering Institute of Salt Lake, now Salt Lake Tech, and the University of Utah. He also worked at Utah Power/Pacific Corp, where he served for over 30 years. After retiring, he dedicated another seven years to the Idaho
Department of Labor as a vocational counselor and veterans representative, offering guidance and support to those in need.

Tony's passion for volunteering left an indelible mark on his community. As president and secretary of NAMI Idaho, and as a dedicated instructor, Tony and Judy championed mental health awareness and support. He was also an active member of the Idaho State Planning Council
for the mentally ill and the Mental Health Court, advocating tirelessly for those facing challenges. For 15 years, he also taught creative writing, helping countless individuals.

Tony was an active and cherished member of Grace Baptist Church, where he served as a Bible teacher for addiction recovery for over a decade. His faith guided his actions and was a source of strength and inspiration.

Beyond his many accomplishments, Tony was a man of simple joys. He loved fly fishing, tying flies, hiking, and creative writing. He found peace and fulfillment in the beauty of nature and the power of words. Above all, he was immensely proud of his children and treasured the life he
built with his wife Judy.

A celebration of Tony's life will be held at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, Rexburg, Idaho, on Saturday, December 28, 2024. A reception will begin at 11 a.m, with the service at 12 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Flamm Funeral Home at www.flammfh.com .
