Tony Mathews, 44, of Rexburg, died December 18, of natural causes. He was born August 27, 1971 and was adopted by Henry and Phyllis Mathews when he was nine days old and living in Driggs, Idaho.
Tony had a very bad problem with epilepsy through his childhood and up through high school. There were many tears and prayers to try to find a doctor and medication that would help him. Our prayers were answered when we found a doctor in American Fork, Utah.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission from 1990 to 1992 in the San Bernardino California Mission. He also served an temple worker in the Rexburg LDS Temple.
He is survived by his son Hyrum, his parents, Henry and Phyllis Mathews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
