IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valarae Aileen
Allred
October 9, 1980 – April 27, 2023
ValaRae Aileen Hawks Allred or "Val" was born October 9, 1980 to Ricky Darrell and Karla Genile Calder Hawks in Ogden, Utah. Val was a calm, sleepy baby, but as she grew, it was obvious she had a spunky and courageous spirit. Val had fight and was unafraid to go after her goals. She was competitive by nature and as a child excelled at power tumbling and loved playing football and basketball. In her junior high years she started taking voice lessons and learned to sing beautifully. She attended Clearfield High School, where she served on student councils and graduated valedictorian of her class. After graduation in 1999, she went off to Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. While studying Office Management there, she met a young, handsome Wyoming man, Travis Noel Allred. Val and Travis were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on March 1, 2002.
Over the years, Val and Travis had five incredible children, all born in Rexburg, Idaho: Aimery Faye Allred, 19; Camdyn Travis Allred, 17; Jenson Robert Allred,14; Maylen Jo Allred,10; and Everett Winston Allred, 5. Val was a great mom. She and Travis and the children have lots of happy memories, from camping, taking family vacations and spending time together as a family. Val loved her children dearly. She loved hearing Aimery sing, watching her boys Camdyn and Jenson play basketball, coaching Maylen in tumbling and cheer and snuggling with Everett.
At age 15, Val began teaching power tumbling. She later started her own gym - AirBound Tumbling and Cheer in Rexburg, Idaho. In the 16 years Val owned the gym, she shared her enthusiasm with over a thousand students. Val had great love for the people of AirBound and they were a huge part of her life. She could hardly go anywhere in town without having a student run up to her with a hug and a hello.
For much of her life, Val served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had deep faith in the Savior Jesus Christ and she worked hard to develop her relationship with him.
In 2021 Val was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought faith-filled and fiercely to the end, but lost her battle with cancer on the morning of April 27th, 2023 at the age of 42.
She is survived by her husband,Travis Noel Allred; her five children, Aimery, Camdyn, Jenson, Maylen and Everett Allred; her parents, Ricky and Karla Hawks; and her two sisters RicAnn Pacheco and Kristi McMullin.
She is preceded in death by her father-in-law Robert M. Allred.
