Obituary

David Vern Little, 81, formerly of Driggs, died April 11, 2017 at home in Salem surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1936, one of eleven children, to Elmer and Harriett Little in Driggs, Idaho.

He attended schools in Teton County, graduating from Teton High School. While in school he enjoyed shop and ag. classes as well as playing in the band.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He married Karen Hamblin on January 20, 1956 in Tetonia, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in August of 1957. They lived and raised their five children in Driggs, where he farmed. They moved to Rexburg in 1997.

His hobbies were his paint horses, which he enjoyed raising, and his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Rexburg, Idaho, his children; Kevin (Deb) Little of Felt, Idaho, Tammy (Kelly) Warnberg of Parker, Idaho, Randy Little of Victor, Idaho, Angie (Bruce) Moyer of Jackson, Wyoming and Dena (Dirk) Richards of Egin, Idaho, as well as 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Ilene (Ken) Schwab of Tetonia, Idaho.

He was preceded in death his parents, and siblings, Thora Bates, Elma Wood, Lynette Little, Verda Casper, Betty Barker, Lorin Little, Arland Little, Lee Little and Joe Little.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at the Salem LDS Chapel with Bishop Matt Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Aspen Home Health and Hospice for their kind care.
