Victor
Lozoya
May 24, 1948 – October 24, 2024
Victor Lozoya, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on 24 October at the age of 76 in Teton, Idaho. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Victor lived a life of service, love, and dedication to his family and community.
In his early years, Victor proudly served his country as a tank commander in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he pursued a career in healthcare, enrolling in X-ray school in Colorado. It was during this time that he met and married the love of his life, Veronica Hernandez, in 1972.
Together, they moved to Denver, Colorado, where they raised their three daughters, Victoria (Mike Hammond), Valerie (Scott Gravely), and Virginia "Gina". In 2000, seeking new adventures and opportunities, Victor moved his family to Anchorage, Alaska, where he worked as a CAT Scan Tech until his retirement in 2017.
Throughout his career and personal life, Victor touched the lives of countless people. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. He was a source of strength, comfort, and wisdom for his family, friends, and colleagues.
After retiring, Victor and Veronica relocated to Southeastern Idaho to enjoy their golden years. He cherished time spent with his family, including his beloved grandchildren, Izaac Lozoya (21), Ezra Hammond (13), and Layla Ferry (5).
Victor was preceded in death by his mother, Sofia Lozoya, and nine aunts and uncles. He is also remembered by his two aunts, Abundia Pool and Martina Lopez. Above all, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Veronica, and their three daughters, Victoria, Valerie, and Gina.
Victor Lozoya will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family, his kind heart, and the positive impact he had on the lives of so many. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, his daughters, and grandchildren, as well as the many people whose lives he touched.
