Obituary

Vinnie Atwood, 77, of St. Anthony, passed away on March 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born November 12, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas to Harvey Omer and Margery Ellen Hammon Wheeler. She attended schools in Kansas City but dropped out her senior year to take care of her ailing mother.

One of her first jobs was working at a Sears Warehouse gathering items for shipping, a task she did on roller skates. She worked at A & W waiting cars, also a job using her roller skates. She became a "Jane of all trades" working various kinds of construction from roofing to operating heavy equipment. She installed wild life fencing along the highways. She worked in restaurants as a waitress, cook and "chief bottle washer."

She married Roger Atwood on June 1, 1982 at Colorado Springs, Colorado. They made their home in Peekaboo, Idaho until moving to St. Anthony in 2007 where they have since resided.

She enjoyed restoring old cars with Roger and also enjoyed fishing and camping. She participated in a local pool league where she enjoyed being with many friends.

She is survived by her husband Roger, her daughter Yvonne Zamudio of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 1 granddaughter, Eboni (Johny) Hurtado of Twin Falls, Idaho, and 2 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson; She is also survived by her sister Jimmi (Terry) Holding of Harrisonville, Missouri.

Memorial services will be held at a future date.
