Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Ellen Keppner Fisher, of Austin, Texas, passed away April 10, 2009 following a long illness.

She was born June 20, 1920 in Hibbard, Idaho, to Joseph and Kate (Watson) Keppner.

On April 15, 1939 she married Laurel "Pete" Fisher in Rigby, Idaho. After spending time in Idaho, Utah and parts of Montana, they settled in Butte, Montana in the mid 1950's where they lived until Mr. Fisher's death in April of 2000. After spending a year in Colorado with her son, she moved to Austin, Texas to be near her daughter, where she lived until her passing.

Mrs. Fisher's family was her passion as she magnified the art of homemaker, wife and mother. You could always count on her home being a showcase of cleanliness and order. She was very talented and spent many hours creating crafts that were often found adorning the homes of family and friends. She could always be found crocheting afghans, baby blankets, myriads of tablecloths, doilies, and special clothing for her grandchildren. She loved to bowl and, while in Butte, was a member of a seniors bowling league for many years.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her son Brent Fisher of Greeley, Colorado; daughter Charlotte Limb of Austin, Texas; grandchildren Tawni and Terry Hale, LeAnne and Bryan Ensign, Kimberly and Dennis Schofield, Kari and Randy Skinner, Brent Shane and Ana Fisher, Dusty and Tara Fisher, Jordan Lamb, Trent and Tina Limb, Travis and Mistee Limb, Chandra Limb, Tylan Limb, Thad and Sarah Limb; 40 great-grandchildren; 5 great, great grandchildren, brother Wayne Keppner of Menan, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fisher's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and deepest appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Park Bend Medical Center and the wonderful, supportive caregivers of Odyssey Hospice for their tireless love and care during this difficult time
