She also attended Utah State University before marrying Dale Knight Price on February 19, 1947, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they raised five children.

She worked as Deputy Auditor and Recorder for Teton County in Driggs, and served as a secretary for the Soil Conservation Office. She went back to school, taking classes at Ricks College, Idaho State University, and Utah State. She graduated from Utah State in 1967 with a degree in Business Education.

Virginia taught business related subjects at Teton High School from 1963-1985, retiring after 22 years. She was an advisor to the National Honor Society and Office Education Association where she served as the State secretary for a year. She was the Pep Club advisor, cheerleader advisor, and oversaw the Junior Miss Pageant for many years.
