Wanda Thompson Hall, 87, of Rexburg, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at Homestead Assisted Living Center from causes incident to age. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Wanda was born on January 9, 1931, in St. Anthony, to Richard Franklin Thompson and Nettie Dern Spidel. She was the 9th of 10 children. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from South Fremont High School.
In 1949, she married Dean C. Anderson. To this union were born four children: Brenda, Gloria, Deanie, and Shane. They were later divorced and in 1972 she married Lynn F. Hall. This union brought together two families that provided much joy to Lynn and Wanda. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time on the farm. Lynn treated Wanda like a queen and their time together was very sweet. Lynn passed away in 1981.
Wanda held many jobs in Rexburg, including Johnson Drug, Madison County Clerk's Office, Rexburg Medical Center, and she retired in 1996 from Basic American Foods. After her retirement she was then free to focus on her children and grandchildren. She loved walks to the nature park with her grandkids, holding hands and feeding the ducks. She took great pride in her flowers and enjoyed working in her yard. She was loved and adored by all of her family.
Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Brenda (William) Schiess, Gloria Lynn Howe, and Deanie (Steven) Geisler, all of Rexburg; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouses, Dean C. Anderson and Lynn F. Hall; her son, Shane Anderson; six brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank Homestead Assisted Living and Homestead Hospice for the loving care and friendship they showed our mom for the last year and a half.
