Warren Reed Huff, 91 of Ogden, formerly of Pocatello, Lava Ranch ID, Yuma AZ, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Ogden UT. He was born June 18, 1922 in Teton City, ID the son of Bert and Rosa Huff. He grew up in Alta WY, Teton Valley and Teton City ID, as well as many other towns in the area.

As a young child, Warren learned how to fish on the creek – a good stiff branch, string and a safety pin would do the trick. During this time in his life, he also enjoyed drumming on anything. Every chance that he got, he would find some sticks and drum. He played with Milo and Iris Dalley, who gave him his first set of drums. He also was part of a band; Ross Dunn and his Orchestra, and enjoyed playing at dances and other venues. Later in life, he picked up refinishing furniture. He was very talented and could make any beat up piece look brand new.

In 1940, Warren met Beulah Pulley, and after dating for two years, they were married on November 2, 1942. He was drafted into the army shortly after, serving in WWII, until his honorable discharge in 1946. They had two daughters, Trudy and Cindy and raised them in Pocatello. Warren also had a daughter, Bridget who was raised in Arizona.

Warren worked for Challenge Cream and Butter as a supply clerk for thirty years, as well as owned and maintained several rental properties in the Pocatello area. He was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was assigned as ward clerk for twenty years.

In 1980, Warren and Beulah bought six acres of forest property at Lava Ranch just outside of Lava Hot Springs, ID. They built a log cabin and spent late spring, summer and early fall up in the mountains. They worked very hard to keep the property looking nice and maintained. They loved fishing and playing cards there. In the winters, they enjoyed their time on their property in Yuma, AZ by walking, swap meets, bowling, playing cards and spending time with friends.
