Wilford Warren Thomason, 80, of Burton Idaho, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home. He was born November 23, 1936 in Rexburg, Idaho to Charles Gustave and Doralee Anderson. He attended school in Burton and graduated from Madison High School in 1955. He attended the Salt Lake School of Electronics where he specialized in communications, radar, semi-conductors and computers. He graduated with top honors and was chosen with the top ten men by Boeing aircraft to work at the Boeing plant in Seattle, in the aerospace division. He returned to Rexburg in 1964 where he worked for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph.

He married Bonnie Jo Carlsen on December 28, 1966 at his mother's home in Burton, surrounded by loved ones. They moved to Rigby until, in 1974 he tore down the old yellow house in Burton he had lived in as a boy. He then built the home where he stayed the remainder of his life. It was there he helped raise five boys, whom he loved and served the entirely of his life.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings and had a strong testimony of the gospel.

He enjoyed, above all, spending time with his family. He loved to camp, fish, hunt and explore on his four-wheeler.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Thomason, Jason (Allison) Thomason, James (Nichole) Thomason, Colby (Denise) Thomason, Chris (Meredith) Thomason and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie; his brothers, Tony Thomason, Byron Thomason and Roger Thomason.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26th at the Burton West LDS Chapel with Bishop Logan Bingham officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery.
